1.1 Important Observations
Youth comes only once but immaturity can remain throughout a lifetime. The offspring are often more mature than their parents. Two characteristics of every healthy organism are movement and growth. This is the expressed purpose of the Gospels and is clearly the import of Paul’s instruction to the early church. The purpose of these ministries is to (katartismos) complete furnishing the saints until they grow into mental and moral (teleios) perfection. This is an ongoing process that needs much attention.
1. Everyone Is Gifted – 1 Peter 4:10-11

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect [teleios] in Christ Jesus… (Colossians 1:27-29)

3. Special Events 6. Be A Part Of Something
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; [tel-i-o-tace’, meaning complete, finished, mature] not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will be done, if God permits. (Hebrews 6:1-3) Grow up! (2 Peter 3:18)
Youth Is A Gift. Maturity Is An Art !
