6.3 EXERCISE:

This study lists 25 different scripture references. Find each one in your Bible and highlight or underline them.

The speaker who draws multitudes; the healer who straightens limbs; the prophet who utters pious mysteries and the author who expounds volumes, are immediately accepted as coming from God. They see the signs and wonders, and ascribe authenticity and spiritual authority to the “star”. Seldom are the statements verified and rarely is the message judged by scripture. Furthermore, anyone who questions error or unacceptable Christian conduct, is denounced as unspiritual, critical and heretical.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.  – Matthew 7:21-23
